The agreements signed today are in the continuation of agreements signed between Kosovo and Serbia on 4 September at the White House for normalising economic relations between the two countries.
According to the signed document, this provides access to the full range of support in investments, provided by the US Finance Corporation for International Development, as well as to define actions related to the Corporation's support for Kosovo projects and their Kosovo treatment.
“New Kosovo Agreement- The US for Promotion of Investments is expected to provide access to the full range of investment support, provided by the US Finance Corporation for International Development, as well as to define actions related to the Corporation's support for Kosovo projects and their Kosovo approach”, the document says.

We, Avdullah Hoti, prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo and Adam S. Boehler, chief executive of the American Finance Corporation for International Development, welcomes the quick closure of the new Kosovo- U.S. to promote investments.
We share the desire that this agreement be signed as soon as possible and enter into force in the very near future, following the conclusion of our internal procedures.
New Kosovo agreement- The US is expected to provide access to the full range of investment support, provided by the American Finance Corporation for international development, as well as to define actions related to corporate support for projects in Kosovo and their treatment on Kosovo.
Following the historic economic normalisation of Serbia-Kosovo, for which the agreement was reached on 4 September 2020 in Washington, Kosovo and Serbia aim to advance negotiations after the entry into force of the new Kosovo- Serbia for promoting investments, in terms of important projects within Kosovo, including projects for which there are agreements to be part of economic normalisation between Serbia and Kosovo.
