Israel is launching a second nationwide isolation to stem the cases of Coronavirus.
The measure is being implemented until citizens begin to mark the Jewish New Year.
This holiday is traditionally marked through large, family meetings.
But under three - week isolation, the Israelites can move only within a mile of their homes, with certain exceptions, and the number of people allowed in synagogues has been greatly reduced.
Israel currently has one of the highest levels of Coronavirus infected in the world.
In the past week, new cases have reached the highest daily levels, of more than 5,000 infected people, and the country's leaders have apologised for their failure to contain pandemic.
So far in Israel there have been 1,169 deaths from COVID-19 and nearly 177,000 infected, according to data from the University “Johns Hopkins”, with headquarters in the US.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that, if necessary, he will not hesitate to impose stricter restrictions.
Rosh Hashanah, or Hebrew New Year, lasts two days. The festivities began on September 18th. This is a festival of world creation and marks a new beginning. These two days, people reflect on last year and apologize. Jews believe that God values a person's good and bad deeds during the year and decides what the next year will be for them.
