This date was set in 2007, with the UN General Assembly resolution encouraging governments to strengthen national programmes for promoting and consolidating democracy.
This day in various parts of the world is marked by many activities. While in Kosovo this day will be marked with a virtual mission meeting U n NDP in co-operation with Kosovo Assembly with topic The future we want to see is democracy and rule of law in times of crisis”.
