The deal we have reached will create thousands of new jobs
Along with cabinet members, we have been hosting a delegation from the United States today, which consisted of US special envoy for Kosovo dialogue Serbia, Ambassador Richard Green, chief executive head of the US International Finance and Development Corporation, (DFC) Adam Behehler, representative of U. AID, head of the United States Export-Import Bank (EXIM), as well as other senior government officials from the US Energy and Trade Departments.
I have notified the US delegation of the priorities of the Government of Kosovo and our commitment to economic recovery. I also thanked the United States for the continued support given to Kosovo on its Euro-Atlantic path, as well as concrete projects for Kosovo's sustainable economic development.
After the meeting, at a special ceremony, with the chief executive of the US International Finance and Development Corporation (DFC), Adam Boehler, we have signed the joint Kosovo and US declaration.
Let me thank you all for this concern! We today were honoured to wait in the Government of Kosovo for the US delegation, led by Ambassador Green. It was a special honour with a delegation of US key agencies for implementation of the agreement, which we have reached in Washington on September 4th.
Their presence today, I believe, speaks one thing, shows the determination and seriousness of President Trump, his administration, the ambassador and all his associates, in implementing an agreement that is being rightly named historic agreements, a huge step towards finalising the final agreement between the two countries.
We had a broad and detailed conversation about all points of agreement. I am happy to say, and it is my honor to say that we will move quickly to implement this agreement. A new economic momentum has already been created in Kosovo and the region, and along with this new economic moment, I believe we will move forward even in the normalisation of political relations.
This agreement we have reached will create thousands of new jobs, transform Kosovo and the region into more integrated regions in terms of infrastructure and economic development.
We are fully committed as governments, made the necessary preparations, and now we expect that in the coming weeks, the relevant ministers in the government, together with the US Administration part, will move concretely in implementing the agreement.
