The member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has spoken about the Special Court's proposal to former KLA members, including PDK leader Kadri Veselin and President Hashim Thaci.

Xhavit Haliti has said he does not believe there will be confirmation of the charges against Thaci and Wessel, since the charges of Swiss Senator Dick Marty do not stand and as such they will never be confirmed by any court.

“I believe there will be no confirmation of the indictment against the PDK president and neither the president”, he said.

Haliti has spoken even about whether he has been invited to interview in The Hague.

It's a personal matter. Every time they invite me, I'll go. It is the duty of every KLA member to respond to special invitations. The court was not set up to clean us up with soap and detectors, but why there were charges. If someone has met the rate to be sentenced, they will be punished”, he said.
