Gjilan Chief Prosecutor: Thirty-five people arrested in Karatcheva action, operation to continue

At a news conference, Jethish has indicated that 35 people have so far been arrested during this action. Among those arrested, there are 12 police officials.

“U announce that the prosecution after a long, nearly 1-year-old investigation, last night in co-operation with the Kosovo Police has carried out an action in Karacheva in Kamenica and the Pristina region. From this action, 35 suspected persons have been arrested so far, with 12 of them being police officials. The prosecution will request the appointment of security measures for them. In addition to the arrests, all casinos in that area have collapsed. The operation will continue yet further”, Gjilan's chief prosecutor said.

Otherwise, the action was carried out under suspicion of illegal gambling, trafficking in people, gun trafficking, narcotics trafficking, smuggling with goods and other criminal activities.
