“Confisions will be targeted, as it is necessary to avoid the country's isolation again at any cost of”, Chancellor Angela Merkel said after meeting with leaders of 16 German countries, adding that economic support will be the priority, Reuters reports.
She said that “The strategy of hot spots” would limit participation in private gatherings to 25 people and public in 50, in areas where the infection rate is 35 infected to 100,000 people over seven days.
Merkel said the next priorities are schools and nests that should stay open.
If the infection rate reaches 50 per 100,000, private celebrations will be limited to 10 persons and public ones in 25.
According to European standards, Germany has so far had a relatively low infection and death rate during the pandemic, but Merkel warned that the situation could deteriorate if it continues at the same pace.
The country reported 2,089 cases of choreography on Tuesday, a total of 287,421, with 9,471 deaths, has revealed the Institute for Infectious Disease Robert Koch.
