At the KSF's „Jashari“barracks in Pristina, today the donation acceptance ceremony was held in medical equipment by the Republic of Germany for the Kosovo Security Force.

On this occasion, Defence Minister Anton Quinn, formerly waited in his office, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Joern Rohde. First, Minister Quinn congratulated Ambassador Rohde on the new task and deep gratitude for Germany's permanent support to Kosovo. He stressed that the donation we accept today is also in the continuation of the great assistance of Germany, its defence ministry and German forces for construction, development and advancement at the current stage of our ministry and forces. Minister Quinn also praised the commitment of German officers and deputy officers under the NALT team under the leadership of General Best, who continues the tradition of other ancestors with high professionalism and effectiveness. “Germanism as our friend country, is one of our main strategic partners and that our success until, along with other partners, is reached jointly”. For his part, Ambassador Rohde reaffirmed Germany's pledge to continue supporting the KSF to achieve its developmental goals and expressed confirmation of the intensifying and further deepening of bilateral co-operation. During the meeting, Minister Kuni was accompanied by KSF Commander Lieutenant General Beftman Rama and the director of the Department for International Relations and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Colonel Hasan Hoxha.
After the meeting, Minister Kuni and Ambassador Rohde attended the accession ceremony, the donation worth $500,000 in the Medicine Regiment, respectively, the KSF Medical Centre. For his part, General Rama thanked Ambassador Rohde and German military staff for their great commitment to this donation and all their contributions to the establishment and development of the KSF. Ambassador Rohde said during the ceremony before the audience: “It is a special pleasure that today, during my first visit to the Ministry of Defence, on behalf of the German Government, I have the chance to hand over a large donation with medical equipment. This donation will enable the KSF Medical Service to establish KSF readiness so that it can reach its so-called capacity of NATO „Rol 1“. The implementation of this donation has been a German-Kosovo co-operation between German advisers and KSF medical experts. “. In the end, Minister Quinn expressed the importance of having these equipment for our personnel' ability to always be ready for mutual response and treatment in operations and rescue of citizens' lives. “For every life saved we will be proud together” pointed out in the end, Minister Quinn. Also present at the ceremony were officials and officers from the embassy and German forces, as well as those from the Ministry of Defence and the Kosovo Security Force.

Today's donation is in the continuation of the government's permanent support and German forces in completing the skills and operational capacities of the KSF Medicine Regiment and its medical service at all levels.
