High official of The PDK, Ilir Gashi, has reacted to Vetevendosje members after their statements today.
He has said Vetevendosje members are undermining the integrity of the Central Election Commission.
Gashi has responded to statements by Vetevendosje member in the CEC, Alym Rama, where he takes a good lead in Afghanistan, Maldives and Jordan.
Furthermore, he adds that on election day in Afghanistan, polling stations are thrown into the air with dynamite, and Kosovo's comparison with such countries is not good.
Even Gashi says VV members have violated the Constitution.
“Nini 61.5.d Any CEC member's mandate can be interrupted if the member behaves or acts in a way that seriously undermines the status and integrity of the CEC; Sami Kurteshi and Alym Rama have seriously damaged the credibility of the CEC institution, politically hitting the CEC by the Vetevendosje Movement headquarters. Consequently, the credibility of independent decision-making of the CEC member has been violated.”, Gashi wrote.
This is his full post:
The damage to the integrity of the CEC by VV members!
CEC member of the Vetevendosje Movement Alym Rama has set an example for Afghanistan, Maldivet and Jordan.
I don't know much about elections in Maldives and Jordan, but we all know elections in Afghanistan. We all remember the footage coming from Afghanistan and the elections there.
On election day in Afghanistan, the entire polling station is thrown into the air with dynamite. Images from Afghanistan are like they're in the Middle Ages. Are there more serious than comparing elections in Kosovo with those of Afghanistan? That Kosovo holds the best elections in the Balkans, but also compared to many EU member states, is consistent with the UN Security Council.
Such comparisons of the state of Kosovo with failed states are being heard every day in Serbia. That is also their goal of Kosovo being portrayed as a failed state. Kosovo is a European state and there is no similarity to medieval states. The political woes of these people go so far as every day fight Kosovo, the integrity of its institutions, no matter how much our country can cost.
So we can essentially have a dilemma about constitutional and legal wrongdoing!
Article 61.5.d. Any CEC member's mandate can be interrupted if the member behaves or acts in a way that seriously undermines the status and integrity of the CEC; Sami Kurteshi and Alym Rama have seriously damaged the credibility of the CEC institution, politically hitting the CEC by the Vetevendosje Movement headquarters. Consequently, the credibility of independent decision-making of the CEC member has been violated.
