Gager: Opposition compromises for economic recovery, as we did for the budget

LDK MP Besa Gageri has said MPs from opposition parties in the Kosovo Assembly should compromise and vote on the draft economic recovery bill. According to her, compromises have made even power MPs earlier by “pulling amendments from budget”. “I'm looking for deputies from the opposition, because they lose votes if they vote [...]
“I'm looking for deputies from the opposition, that they lose votes if they vote on this law. It's happening for everyone. Let us also pass this law and then these tools, which have managed to invest in Kosovo through the deal with America and the package for economic recovery, even if we can manage with citizens well, the gap caused by pandemic will not be seen. Perhaps we will have luck in this disaster and move forward better”, she said at KTV, adding that “we have made the law better than any of their proposals but we have to compromise”.
Compromise, she says, has even made deputies of power when the Budget Law was voted in the Assembly.
Their amendments were voted down, I'm saying for the first time, that we've been asked, majority deputies to remove our amendments to give space to opposition deputies and we've given them over 70-80 percent of them. Compromise is unfortunately taking place both within the coalition and with the opposition, and I'm thinking that we are still very immature politically in general”, Gager now declared.
