The camp network in the far west of China, used to maintain the popularity of other Muslim Uicuras and minorities, includes 14 others still under construction, according to satellite images.
In total, this think tank has found 38 maintenance centres located in this region from 2017, ranging from low-security reform camps to fortified prisons, reports The Guardian, Pryscopy.
That's more than 100 more than was found in earlier investigations.
Beijing insists there is no human rights abuse in Xinjiang. Chinese authorities had also initially denied the existence of these concentration camps, but later described them as centers where medical training and re-education programmes were held. /Periscope
