Supreme expert on infectious diseases in the United States Anthony Fauci said on Friday that only next year can life restore the normality of pre-pandemia. But it will all depend on it if the vaccine against the coronary will be available by the end of this year.
Fauci told the television network M SNBC that “sharing of vaccine, protection or vaccination of most of the population is likely not to occur until mid or late 2021”.
Meanwhile, some hospitals in the United States have refused a portion of their Remdesivir supply, the drug used to combat COVID-19 produced by Gilead Science. The news was confirmed Friday by the Department of Health and Human Services, Voa reports.
From July 6th to September 8th, state and local public health systems accepted about 72 per cent of the Remdesivitri provided by the department, a spokesman for the agency “Reuters” confirmed Friday. The government has guided measures for the distribution of the medicine, but this effort expires at the end of the month. More than 6.4 million people infected with COVID-19 and more than 193 thousand deaths were registered in the United States on Saturday.
