Four factors impeding visa liberalisation for Kosovo

EPIK through a media report has identified four factors that are hindering freedom of movement for Kosovars

“Under the last study we have identified four factors which are obstructing visa liberalisation for Kosovo”, the EPIK reports.

According to EPIK, there are four main challenges facing Kosovo in this process.

1. Lack of scores under fight against high-level corruption and organised crime

2. Country Report 2019 identified numerous challenges in the area of rule of law

3. Ties in dialogue for normalising Kosovo relations- Serbia

4. Lack of political will for visa liberalisation

The institutions need to make progress in four ways with the aim of addressing these challenges

1. Reaching Results Under War Against High-level Corruption and Organised Crime

2. Clear political will for law rule reforms

3. Progress in dialogue for normalization of relations, and

4. Communication added to EU member states.
