The head of the EU delegation to Serbia, Sam Fabrizi, said today that the momentum of Kosovo- Serbia must be preserved, and there is no reason to set deadlines.
Fabrizi said how the mediator in the dialogue, The EU is ready to continue as fast as the two sides want, that dialogue is never easy, but that its dynamic is good.
“We expect that future rounds of talks will be even more difficult, but both sides are willing to engage in negotiations, which is positive. As European diplomacy chief Josep Borrell and European Minister for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said, the meeting of leaders within the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue went well,” said Fabrizi of Serbia's Blic.
Asked whether he expects the legally binding agreement to be signed by the end of Lajcak's mandate on March 31st 2021, Fabrizi said there is no reason to talk about deadlines, but that Borrell, Lajcak and member states have made clear there is no reason for procrastination.
