The prestigious British media The BBC has reported today about the large-scale operation closing illegal casinos in Karacheva during yesterday's evening by Kosovo police.

BBC He contacted Jetish Maloku, chief prosecutor at the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjilan, who was told reporters that police had arrested at least 35 people for the activities of fortune games, prostitution, human trafficking, weapons and drugs, the news conveyed.

As Maloku said about the British media, at least 10 of them were border police, who allegedly had eased the circumstances for carrying out illegal cross-border activity.

The last night's action destroyed 12 casinos, while lucky games were seized by law enforcement forces, police informed the BBC.

In March of last year, Kosovo's government, under the leadership of Ramush Haradinaj, banned the event of lucky games for 10 years because of its links to organised crime.

The bill was adopted after the two bi-aside killings of casino personnel within days.
