Dubrava's Burden State in Prison Caracheva's confiscated cows

Members of the Kosovo Special Police Unit on Friday evening have carried out an action in the village of Karacheva in the Kamenica municipality, this border area between Kosovo and Serbia.

According to Gjilan's Prosecutor, the action has been carried out under suspicion of illegal gambling, trafficking in people, gun trafficking, narcotics trafficking, smuggling with goods and other criminal activities.

Under these allegations, over 30 people have been arrested and lucky games have been seized, about 120 items, as well as various items as material evidence, allegedly used in criminal activities.

For those arrested in this action, security measures have already been scheduled for a month's detention until the meat of confiscated cows goes to prisons in the country.

That these cows will be slaughtered for prisoners has confirmed for the Express Journal, spokesman for the Kosovo Correcting Service Florent Gashi.

Gashi has indicated that 59 cows, which were confiscated that night, are already located at the opening of the correct Centre in Dubrava.

Gashi has suggested that they have asked the Food and Veterina Agency to send veterinarian inspectors to take blood samples for laboratory tests about cow health.

“59 cow heads who have been confiscated in Karacheva action are located at the opening of Dubrava's Correcting Centre. SHKK has already asked The AVUK sent in veterinarian inspectors authorized for taking blood samples for laboratory tests on cow health. The samples are being taken at this point”, Gashi said.

He has suggested that once they accept the results of the tests, they will begin the slaughter and that their meat will be used for prison kitchens.
