P DS: Washington a failure to rejoice

Talks held in Washington during September 3rd and 4th confirmed the indicators we had reacted to: we are away from secession from Serbia. Any agreement reached, to contribute to peace in the region and co-operation among peoples, should have the premimidation of past violence and dominance.

Without final secession, there is a beginning of sound cooperation. Worse than that, what was signed in Washington does not even have the status of the agreement. They are actually unilateral commitment documents.

However, this event marks the closure of a case abused by the political class's irresponsibilities. It has been three years since dialogue with Serbia is internal political struggle, you say what Kosovo most needs is continued status-quo. From here, Haradinaj's Kurti leads in mini-procedure.

Its direct consistency will be the continuation of the process in Brussels, along with the association, as prospects and as options. The frameworks of the Brussels process do not speak of mutual recognition, for more than any level of relations to be established, those relations will be connected and hampered by the association. This is not a final break, so it impedes future cooperation.

The delegation and coalition parties have gone to Washington to expose Kurt's conspiracy. This is a fatal mistake because that's how you are within the same horizon; because by doing so, unconsciously he becomes the morality to which you must answer. They were supposed to be there to make deals, not to prove to someone the opposite of these claims.

The content of the agreements, however, also shows something new. Serbia is no longer the enemy of the United States. If for Kosovo this is natural, reconciliation to diversify energy exploitation and stop the 5G network constituted new events and development in Serbia. This is a significant step closer to the US and the same departure as China and Russia. This is Serbia's change, as is the US change. Nothing is like 99. Neither the US, nor the EU, nor Russia, nor China. Only we expect this year's repetition.

Finally, when we talk about potential damage and risks, beyond the knife and champagne drama, a question should be asked. What's the risk of status quo? Does it benefit Kosovo? What about the region?

The Balkans without regional co-operation will not be developed. This co-operation, not to repeat Yugoslavia, must be on equality grounds. Otherwise, we'll continue to become geopolitical tools. Thus, existing cracks become conflict. Therefore, Kosovo and Serbia need the agreement, earlier than any superpower. That's why we need a break, not a process that doesn't work.
