The US State Department says the agreement signed in American President Donald Trump's presence is historic and included a range of economic normalisation issues.
Today's “Agreement opens up new opportunities for broader co-operation. The United States of America reaffirms their support in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia towards the comprehensive normalisation of their relations”, the press communiqué says.
Meanwhile, the recognition of Kosovo by the state of Israel has been called a monument.
“We also congratulate Prime Minister Hoti on the monumental achievement of normalisation of reports and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Israel”.
Reaching today's agreement with Trump's support is seen as a major step in boosting security, stability and prosperity throughout the Western Balkans, a goal supported by the US.
