The test results for the new coronary should not last more than 24 hours, with the aim of enabling a real investigation of possible contacts, the EU Commission said today.
“Testing all cases in the entire population with symptoms compatible with COVID-19, including light ones, should be priority”, the EC said in the published guidelines.
To achieve this, the population must have easy access to testing and encouraged to seek testing immediately when compatible symptoms arise with COVIDD-19”, the EC continued, reports ATS.
EC recommendations primarily coincide with those of the European Centre for Prevention and Disease Control (ECDC).
The European Parliament, in line with the EC, adopted a resolution Thursday, under which the results of the coronary test should be mutually recognised in all EU member states and that sufficient capacity for testing should be developed.
