Basel
One of the advantages of this historic city in northwest Switzerland is its geographic position on the border of Germany and France. This means that the city is open, literally because of its location on the Rhine River, and Basil boasts of Switzerland's only commercial port.
As the centre of Switzerland's pharmaceutical industry with companies such as Novatis and Roche, the city has long attracted foreign citizens to its shores.

Lozanne
