The pandemic situation and restrictive measures that were taken against the virus have also caused major damage to the bus station in Pristina.
Pristina bus station director Luan Hoti has said the financial situation at the bus station has been very difficult, resulting in close losses of half a million euros in the company.
So if I'm about 60 percent of the revenues, then if we analyze that we're down by about 50 percent, normal that this loss is about 50 percent in total of all revenues, so if I'm about 1 million in it, then I think for a year that losses are about half a million <x1.
Hoti has said that during this year's 6 months period, there has been a major decline in urban and international lines.
The “According to the tests we've done, or statistics that are presented in our three-month and six-month reports are clearly seen as compared to last year in the six-month period, we have a huge drop in lines, both international and urban. So according to the notes that I have, which I've received from the assigned department that deals with the analysis of lines, we have about 41 percent of the lines held compared to last year, and the same situation is the international line that we have about 47 percent less international lines compared to last year. So we're talking about the time period, January 1st until June 30th of this year”, Hoti said.
In statistics released by the department dealing with the analysis of lines, in April and May of this year, compared to last year there has been a 100 per cent decline, as with the government's decision, the lines have not worked.
Hoti has declared that from June it has begun operating inter-ban urban lines, while as far as international lines are concerned, he has said there is a marked decline.
On March 13th, according to the government's decision has stopped rolling all lines, as in urban, and international ones, so this situation has reigned until May 18th of this year, on May 18th, we have seen some small movement of several auto carriers because at that time it has been a good non-coordination between administrative direction, or the government's decision about how many lines have been released and movement or citizens. This has been changed in early June, just one June, it's lifted people's mobility by one June, and by one June most urban inter-lines have started to hold, while in terms of international lines we've still had, we have a lack of them, respectively, we have a big discount with regard to the international lines”, Hoti said.
Hoti has said there are still restrictions on circulation with neighbouring European states, other than Albania. He has said the number of bus lines is evidently smaller, compared to the number they had earlier. /
