In an interview for the Financial Times, Borrell has said the Balkans present a concern for Brussels.
If we do not stabilise the Balkans, it will be difficult to consider ourselves a geopolitical force, because no one else will, only Europeans”, he said.
Borrell said Brussels engages in the gradual integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU, but has numerous disputes between Serbia and Kosovo.
