Australian scientists are developing a test that should diagnose the coronary within 15 minutes, and a major ingredient in new technology is the tip of bread.
The biotechnology company Xing Technology has received $1.5m from Queensland Australia Government to finance the XavTrap project, which scientists discovered Wednesday and explained that it must function in a manner similar to a pregnancy test.
“Some special digestive points are placed on a Saturday to get a sample from the nose, which is then placed on a tape and within 15 minutes, depending on the level of infection, results are received”, project manager Yadveer Grawal explained.
The top of the bread is combined with tape technology as used in pregnancy tests.
The other things that can be found on the market are excellent, all are good tests, but I can't tell the difference between a living virus and a virus dead”, Grewaal explains.
A quick and free test can be used in high - risk areas such as hospitals, homes of the elderly, and shopping centers. It can also be used to diagnose den's fever.
A similar test is under way in the United States, and Australian authorities hope that they will be available by the end of 2020.
