Italian architect Stefano Boer has launched a global campaign to promote urban forest.
Boer wants to see more forests and trees in cities to reduce pollution and change climate change.
It invites all those who influence the issue, including architects, researchers, real estate developers and NGOs, to consider the many advantages of the city's greener landscapes.
Currently, cities occupy more than 70 percent of global emissions of carbon dioxide. More forests have been shown to improve the quality of life in these areas.
Urban forests also provide an ecosystem, cleans air and helps in the fight against temperature growth. Getting access to green spaces can reduce the risk of certain diseases as well as have a positive impact on your life expectancy.
The architect is known for his urban forest projects, including the Vertical Forest Towers in Milan, Italy and Liuu Forest City in China.
