Appeal returns to re-establish Ivanovic's murder case, lawyer says suspects are politician and businessman

The Special Department of the Court of Appeals in Pristina has turned the subject into restoration, and thus the Special Prosecutor's Act regarding the murder case of politician Oliver Ivanovic has not been confirmed. During the month, the Constitutional Court in Pristina, the Special Department, had continued the move of the mandatory police presentation for two months of Dragisa Markovic, Silvana Arsovic and Zarko Jovanovic, who allegedly helped authors with their actions in carrying out the assassination of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanov.
The defence attorney, Musa Damatti of the accused, Silvana Arsovic, who has been party assistant, tells Kosovo that complaints and objections of lawyers have been approved in this criminal case.

Among other things, Damat adds that in addition to suspects who are involved in this procedure, doubts exist about other business figures, politics and the mafia.
In addition to this as legal victory of defence, it is considered that even in relation to my client, the Special Prosecutor's Proposal Proposal of House Arresting has been rejected, and the police station's action has been imposed or continued in relation to my client. It is important to note that in this case volume criminalally besides the suspects who are in the procedure, there are preliminary suspicions that we have to deal with other figures in the business world, politics and mafias, which are suspected in this criminal case”, he points out.
Damatti stresses that based on the recent ruling in this criminal case, it is expected to proceed further with the review concerning the restoration in this case.
Freedom, Democracy and Equality Party leader Oliver Ivanovic was shot dead on January 16th 2018 in the northern part of the town of Mitrovica.
Serbian media described the murder as an act committed in the car by more than one person, while Ivanovic was going to party offices. Police suspect that a car found burnt in another Mitrovica street has been used by the perpetrators, then burned to lose traces.
In November 2019, Kosovo Police have arrested three people in northern Mitrovica, who are allegedly linked to Ivanovic's murder.
