US Ambassador to Belgrade Anthonyfrey has said Washington's Agreement views it as a political pledge and not as a legally binding agreement because the idea of an economic normalisation is important and brings hope that people's standard of living will improve.
I see it as a benefit and advantage, and I am very happy that Richard Green and Adam Boyehler have come to Belgrade very soon after Washington's” deal, Godfrey told Nova television.
Alfredy has said Washington will fulfil its promises as it opened the American Development Agency's office of(DFC) in Belgrade that is a clear signal that the US wants results from the agreement on economic normalisation.
“The US wants to reach an agreement between Pristina and Belgrade that would reconcile the two sides. We cannot impose a solution that will be permanent, but must come from both sides, be in their interest, and there will be compromises on both sides”, he said, broadcast the GE.
The US ambassador has added that economic normalisation is not a race with the EU but a step further that we have taken in what is happening in Brussels and the European Union is the leader of political issues.
“I hope we will keep this moment in Serbian-American relations and it is a pleasure to make it clear that America hopes Serbia will arrive. We don't want Serbia to be in a printed position, but we want it to be a peaceful prosperous state with neighbours and move towards Europe”, the US ambassador has said.
