The best-directed script has been nominated for short film “Vulpe” under the direction of Valmir Tertini, while short film “Lugatka” directed by Altin Sule vie for the best experimental film.
The festival, based in New York and founded by an Albanian, screenwriter, director and producer Julian Biba, is an event dedicated to empowering independent filmmakers.
“York True Venture Film Festival” was supposed to be held in May this year, but due to the pandemic, it was postponed for September and plans are to be held in the online version.
“We believe that by giving an opportunity to new ideas of unique and intelligent creators, we will give the audience an opportunity to evaluate art”, it is said in the description of this festival.
The film “Street” focuses Lena (37), played by Gresa Pallaska, and Gentin (11), who lie to each other by describing their lives. The imagination is contrary to reality.
Both are victims of the same reality trafficking with human beings. Director Umgmajli said that “York True Venture Film Festival” is the new but interesting festival and the fact that this festival promotes independent film makes it even more special.
