Defence Minister Olta Xhacka has reacted through a post in her official account at “Facebook” for the fire situation that has been engulfed in several local circles.
She has said dozens of effective Armed Forces have been engaged and working day and night to put out fires in several operations in Fieri, Shkodra, Vlora, Tirana and Lezha counties.
Minister Gacka has noted that the flames are caused by human hands more than by high temperatures and have affected entire forest and pasture areas in eight counties in the country.
The Civil Protection Law, which we approved a year ago and which makes one of the most important elements of civil emergency reform, does not even save local government in case it does not respond to emergency situations, but neither does individuals who set fire to forests and pastures, causing millions of waste of national wealth”, Albania's Minister of Protection said.
