COVIDD-19 transmission rate is alarming in Europe, the World Health Organisation (OBSH) today stressed, which expressed concern over easing the established or envisioned quarantine in several countries, including France.
The September <x0fras should serve as alarm for all of us across Europe, where the number of new cases is already higher than the one registered in March and in April”, WHO branch director Hans Cluj said today.
The UN organisation has also ruled out cutting its recommendation for a 14-day quarantine for all those who have been in contact with the virus.
Our 14-day quarantine recommendation was based on our understanding of the period of incubation and transmission of the disease, we would just review it based on a change in our understanding of science, which is not the case so far”, highlighted Catherine Smugwood, responsible for the emergency situations in WHO for Europe.
