Following Washington's agreement on September 4th, the letters of interest for financing the construction of “Peace Agreement”, which is one of the points of the economic agreement signed by Kosovo and Serbia in the presence of President Donald Trump.
Letters of Interest have been signed by the head executive of the US International Development Finance Corporation, Adam Boehler, and the chairman of Export-Import Bank Kimberly Reed, to finance the project that is envisioned to connect Pristina and Nis.
Boehler said in this case that the Peace Agreement would lead economic development and regional integration by connecting Nis and Pristina, and would also serve as a powerful symbol of the new, transformative relationship between Kosovo and Serbia as neighbouring countries.
DFC and EXIM plan to send delegations to Belgrade and Pristina later this month to advance work on the Peace Highway and other projects.
