The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo's (AAK) request for the president's post is viewed as unfair and unnecessary by its ruling partner, the Democratic League of Kosovo(LDK). Despite this in Isa Mustaf's party, the ruling coalition is stable and stable.
LDK Secretary-General Arba Abashi has said disagreements within the coalition could also be natural. As he adds that meetings between party leaders in the coalition are fair and discuss different coalition issues.
For the president, the agreement we signed and until today has not been discussed. It is true that AAK officials, including Chairman Haradinaj himself, have expressed their interest in that position. It has not been discussed so far, but with the approach of the time when it is also a defined mandate, because now it is, we find it unfair and unnecessary now when we have a president in office. However, when the time is right and the election for president comes, then we must sit down and see what the possibilities are and who that figure should be”, Abrashi says.
Until weeks earlier Abrashi had said the president belongs to the LDK, he already claims they have not yet addressed this issue of who the president is.
However, the possibility of the PDK becoming part of the Games for president is not ruled out.
We haven't treated the subject at all, I believe, after the New Year, even when the deadlines begin to flow, then we should sit down and discuss... The meetings have, the leaders have met last week, the main topics besides coalition issues and governance have also been discussed a lot for dialogue”, he emphasises in an interview for Kosovas.
Infrastructure Minister Abrashi has said that despite differences, the coalition is stable with the AAK.
The co-ordination is stable, now there are criticisms, there are advice on each issue. Which should be taken as natural, the good news is that leaders or those who oversee the coalition as chairman Mustafa and Haradinaj meet on fair grounds and discuss various issues and coalition issues. I mean, it's stable and I don't see any problems in this regard”, Abrashi stressed.
Challenge for the Government of Kosovo remains the plan for economic recovery that is failing to move to the Assembly.
Abrashi says the economic recovery bill is beyond political interests. He has indicated that parliamentary Group chiefs have met to address this issue affecting the welfare of each citizen and business.
“Reactions have not been good by either side, there has also been criticism from the country's economic Ods, which know the weight of this recovery package. Once again we extend the invitation to be placed as the first point of the agenda during the next few days. I believe we will have numbers for this package, because it is a project affecting the well-being of each citizen, above all a project that gives a greater hope for each business in Kosovo. So it goes beyond party and political lines... are you negotiating with opposition parties to achieve this law? I know the parliamentary Group chiefs met yesterday, but I have no more details about this”, Abrashi points out.
For the economic recovery plan that envisions also the withdrawal of 10 per cent of the savings in the Trust there have been two attempts at the Assembly, however, there were not enough quorums for the vote.
