Remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has not been followed by 9070 students from the first grade to the twelve.
Education Minister Rame Likaj at today's plenary session said this happened mainly because of lack of technology and information tools.
But unlike public institutions in private institutions, the participation of students in distance learning has been 100 percent.
The number of students who haven't followed the long distance from elementary school to 12 is 9070, about 2.8 percent in public institutions, while in private institutions, as it has been declared, 100 percent turnout. Of this number in preschool education, 2.8 percent have not participated in long - term learning. At primary level 2 percent, at a low primary level of 3 percent, while at medium 2.8 percent. The total of 9070 students according to statistics released for children of particular needs is 8.7 percent”, he said.
Minister Likaj, responding to LDK deputy Visar Hoti's question for learning analysis during the pandemic, said the turnout has been mainly related to the lack of technological tools among students.
“Arsyet why students have not participated in remote learning is exactly the lack of information technology tools. Or the limited number of information equipment because families had more than one child at school and the lack of access to internet services”, he said.
