The 45-year-old was detained in south East London at 7am this morning and sent to holding at the central London police station.
Police officials are looking for another address in the southeast area and the investigation is continuing, Scotland Yard has said, broadcast Periscopi.
He was arrested by police officials from the Metropolitan Police War Crimes Team.
Some 250 thousand people were killed in Liberia during this period, while thousands of others had been disabled and raped. /Periscope
