Flora Gjonbalaj, technical and anesthesiologist working in the Anesthesiology Department at the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo, has already proved positive for the Coronavirus test, which causes COVID-19.

Flora, who has worked for 16 years in this department, doubts she has been infected by her colleagues, health workers.

Hospitals with limited capacity and infected health staff

Gjonbalaj, who is also chairman of the Association of Intensives of Anesthesia and Disease, thinks it is necessary to test medical staff regularly.

This is a big carelessness. I think testing should be done regularly for health personnel, as there is a great need for medical staff”, she says.

Johnbalaj says that even though he has repeatedly had contact with people infected with coronarys, the test has only succeeded in showing symptoms.

The tests were made at our request, we were persistent to test”, Gjonbalaj told Radio Free Europe.

Even the Kosovo Health Union Federation is urgently seeking more tests for coronarys, for health workers, so that the situation is under control.

The chairman of this union, Blerim Syla, shows that as many as 1,100 have gone by the number of doctors, nurses, and escort staff infected with coronarys, but the number of isolated persons is not known.

The health staff that is treating coronary affects, “very tired”

Because of the lack of health personnel, Syla says, patient care is being jeopardised.

“I have repeatedly insisted on the Kosovo National Public Health Institute (IKSHP) that health workers have priority in testing”, Syla points out.

In addition to the need for testing, Syla says even test results should be published very quickly, because according to him, lack of staff can present a serious challenge in treating patients, not only with COVID-19, but also other cases.

What worries me is that the results come late. This should be a priority, not for health workers, but for these to provide medical services. Imagine, if there are symptoms and the worker today tests, I have to wait four to five days for results. We're hoping to increase the capacity of the Institute and then no more problems”, Syla said.

Infectian Salih Ahmeti says testing medical personnel is of particular gravity, as in addition to endangering his health, the delivery of medical services to patients is at risk.

Their frequent advances give us a clearer picture of potential individuals, as they have infection and prevention, because COVIID-19 is a special challenge among many other challenges, there are asimtomatic forms and the spread of asimpographical infection by persons”, Ahmeti told Radio Free Europe

Treating patients with small or large gloves

In the Ministry of Health, meanwhile, they claim health workers are tested according to medical indicators and priors.

From the Office for Information of the Ministry, they say that <x0orors have staff that provides medical services directly to the people infected with COVIED-19, which causes Coronavirus”.

In response, it is already said that <x0); most of them have already passed the choreography, but there are also those who are on the treatment”.

It has been six months since the report of the first Corleone cases on Kosovo territory. So far, the total number of victims has reached 416, of those infected at 11,686, while a total of 7,562 have been healed.

Currently in Kosovo, active cases of COVID-19 disease, which causes the new choreography is 3.708.

Kosovo Hospital Service and University Clinic (SHSKUK) has announced that in public health institutions in Kosovo, 544 patients are currently extended, of them 439 are infected with coronary and are being treated in clinics and hospitals.

The USKKUK's daily report said 19 patients are in respiratory, 22 are being dealt with in respiratory vehicles, CPAP, while another 358 are on oxygen therapy.
