“I am the German Chancellor for supporting Serbia's economic and political development and understanding of our difficult regional political position”, Vuciq wrote in the Instagram.
Vuciq and Merkel spoke at the break of the Bled Forum, which is being held on the topic “Europe after Brexit and COVID-19”.
Prior to this conversation, Vuciq has warned that the most important topic with Chancellor Merkel will be Kosovo and the upcoming meetings between Pristina and Belgrade in Washington and Brussels.
In Bled, Vuciq met with EU special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
Vuciq and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti will meet at the White House on 4 September, within the dialogue on normalising relations.
Three days later, they will also meet in Brussels.
