Those who volunteered were rejected in the MSH-declared competition

For about four months, Lirim Krasniqi had served as a volunteer at the QKMF emergency in the Darnas Komoran.

He had served during the night shift, but although he has finished the general nursing faculty, in the competition declared by the Drenas Commission for accepting young doctors and nurses he has not been accepted, reports KOHA.

He says three more volunteers were with him, two nurses and one doctor, except for the last one.

Krasniqi stresses that since Kosovo is not offering necessary conditions for work, it is obliged to go abroad.

However, 30 doctors have applied to the competition, while the number of nurses has been 26.

The written subject for medical doctors has passed 15, while the nurses have passed 11. After the writing test, the commission held the interviews, where the final results -- according to meeting the pre-competitive criteria and tests -- were the admission of seven candidates for medical doctors and 3 nurses” -- were said in a written response from the Drensa Commission's Information Office.

In response, it is said that as regards the issue of voluntary commitment, it has been their willingness to help during the pandemic period, adding that this has not been a criterion for admission.

Another volunteer that is still helping, although not accepted in the competition announced by the Ministry of Health, is Besa Koloni.

It has finished the Medical School and is working at the call center voluntarily.

Some 20 other volunteers are continuing to work at the call center, which is located at the Deanate of the Faculty of Medicine.

However, Kollon hopes he will gain a job in the upcoming health ministry contest, which will be announced in the coming days.
