“Crees of states called me last week and said: “Can you talk to Erdogan?”, Trump said in an interview with Fox News on Monday.
Trump explained that he had told them why he would have to speak to the Turkish president, and they according to Trump replied: “You are the only one he hears. He doesn't listen to us. You're the only one who listens to you, ”
I said, “is this because of the United States? ” He told me, "No, it's because of you." Because of your personality. You're the only one he'd listen to”, Trump said.
It is not clear which leaders or leaders has referred to Trump in the telephone conversation, but the call came after the conflicts in the Mediterranean, where several American allies, including Turkey, Greece, France and Egypt, were involved.
The White House announced on Sunday that Trump spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron, indicating that leaders “agreed that Greece and Turkey should dialogue on resolving opponents”.
