Over the past two days, more than 31,000 people and over 11,000 vehicles have passed the Morina border crossing.
Kukes County Prefect Zenel Kucana said today that Saturday and Sunday there has been an increase in the number of foreign citizens, as well as Kosovo Albanians crossing the Morina border.
According to him, the situation at the customs point is well managed without creating expectations among the passengers.
Today alone, 16,880 foreign nationals, 2,917 Albanian citizens, 4,411 foreign vehicles and 1,367 Albanian instruments” have entered our country, Kucana said.
On the Nation Street today, there were flow of vehicles headed for the weekend on the Albanian coast, where Durres and Shengjin are among the favorite destinations.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, vacationers from Kosovo have chosen Albania as a tourist destination to spend their holidays.
Morina's border point is a very important point, since it processes the largest number of visitors during the year. Kosovo Albanians continue to lead with the largest influx of visitors entering Albania through this customs point. /Attish
