The Chinese appliance, TikTok, has decided to sue the US government on attempts to ban popular platform services, with the reasoning of national security concerns.
The legal complaint, delivered on August 24th in California, argues that the US government has ignored this company's efforts to address its concerns.
US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order on August 6th, halting transactions with Chinese app owners TikTok within 45 days, citing concerns that TikTok could be used for disinformative campaigns that benefit the Communist Party in China.
Split that decision, the Trump administration has given the ByteDance company, managing TikToku, deadlines to give up the video app before it stops in the US.
TikTok's indictment on the other side is not challenging the order for sale.
Two large companies, such as Oracle and Microsoft, have expressed interest in buying the services of this US app.
TikTok is a popular app between teenagers and new age audiences, using it to watch videos for seconds.
An estimated 1 billion people use this app worldwide.
The Chinese company on the other side insists they don't share the data with Beijing.
