Serbia's Office for Kosovo Director in Government Marko Djuric said Serbia's negotiating team will go to Washington with concrete economic connection projects, proposals for infrastructure projects, support for young people, farmers and businessmen of all nationalities in Kosovo.
According to him, the Serbian delegation will do everything to avoid attracting Serbia to geopolitical games of great powers, but he estimated surprises are possible at the meeting in Washington.
Djuric told “TV Prva” that it was a personal surprise to him that some political circles in Belgrade, instead of providing support, “backstage” the Serbian national team, led by President Alexander Vuciq, accusing Vuciq of betraying Kosovo or drawing Serbia into major conflicts with the West.
Djuric said Belgrade urged KFOR to create a permanent presence on the ground in Babin Most, assessing that “the attack on Serbs in that village is not random, but a reflection of the extremist policy pursued by Albanian politicians”.
Djuric estimated that Kosovo police, of course, “are not ready or disabled” to protect Serbs in Babin Most.
