Kim Yo-jong is Kim Jong's youngest sister and is now thought to be next to take the lead.
That's because some classified reports say Kim Jong is in a coma.
Foreign media report that North Korea is now preparing to hand over power to Kim Jong's sister.
But who's 32-year-old Kim Yo-jong?
Kim, age 32, was born in September 1987. She's the daughter of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il. Kim Yo-Jung had a close relationship with brother Kim Jong from an early age. Both studied together in Switzerland between 1996 and 2000. She then continued her education at Military University “Kim Il-sung” and later for computer science at “Kim Il-sung” university. Yo-jong is married to Choe Song, son of North Korean top military official and politician Choi Ryong-hae, and a child with him.
But analysts say that if it comes to power, 32-year-olds pose a greater nuclear threat to the US than their brother. Professor Sung-Yoon Lee predicts among other things that Kim Jong's little sister is going to be a worst dictator.
“The way it should build credibility and gain respect for others will not do so by being good, but being a harsh dictator with people and a reliable nuclear threat to the United States of America”, he has indicated.
And David Maxwell, retired U.S. Army colonel, declares:
I haven't seen any evidence, no indication how it might rule, but my speculation, given the family's reputation and history, is that it would rule with an iron fist. ”
