Serbs satisfied with Albanian coast

Due to the pandemic, tourists from Kosovo and all of Serbia had a small selection of destinations to go to sea this summer, so most decided to try the Albanian coast, which turned out to be a complete success.

The portal team “Kosovo Online” had the opportunity to visit some of the most frequent countries in southern Albania and talk to tourists who came there this year, mainly from Serbia, Macedonia and Russia, broadcast news.

All are satisfied with the beautiful beaches, the sea, but also the prices of accommodation, food and great hospitality of local Albanians.

Those who had no historical and political prejudices to spend their summer in Albania, which allows Serbia and Kosovo to enter without presenting a negative test for COVID-19, did not repent and find a fine replacement for Greece and Montenegro.

This year, apparently more Serbian tourists from Nis, Prokuplja, Kragujevac, Belgrade and other Serbian cities are spending their summer on beaches in Ksamil, a small town on the southern part of the Albanian coast.

Dragan Ilic and Vladan Aleksic from Prokuplja are for the first time with their families in Albania.

Nice, extra, I don't know how to describe it. In two days I've made the decision to come here on summer vacation, we don't have another chance, but we didn't make a mistake and we'll be happy to come back. We're sitting in Saranda and we're taking a bath at Ksamil. I am also very pleased with them”, Aleksic said.

The beautiful and clean seas and even more beautiful beaches also delighted Amir Milak from Sarajevo.

Albania cannot be compared to offers offered by Turkish hotels, but the sea here is much more beautiful and better. Tourists we talked to told us that food prices are identical or even cheaper compared to Nis, Belgrade and other cities in Serbia. There is a rich supply of products from Serbia at stores on shelves.

Ljubisa Milovanovic from Gracanica is spending the summer with his family at Ksamil.

“I own a restaurant in Gracanica and trust me, prices here are the same as those in Kosovo. It is amazing that a waiter serves on the beach, and a machiato or expresso charges 150 dollars, and Albanian money is close to the Serbian dinar. ” you can compare the prices yourself, “tells Milovanovic.

Saranda and Ksamili are on the tourist expedition. Modern hotels and apartments are being built. Roads, sidewalks, and malls are being fixed.

The offer in private accommodation ranges from 15 to 50 euros per night.

“This year has a much larger number of tourists from Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Russia. We try to make their stay pleasant in apartments. Every third day we clean apartments and change blankets and pillows. We want to leave a good impression”, says the owner of the villa“Currently” in Ksamil, Agim Steel.

The corruption epidemic and border closure have made Albania one of the summer holiday elections for Serbian tourists. The measures against the spread of the coronary are respected on certain beaches and the couches are removed properly, while most beaches are not respected. Tourists wearing protective masks are rare in restaurants, markets, and streets.
