Senator Bob Dole recalls time when Serbs had tried to prevent his arrival in Kosovo

Former US Senator Bob Dole expresses his gratitude for building the bust in his honour in Pristina. Through a video message transmitted to “Facebook” of the American Economic Ode in Kosovo, Senator Dole, has remembered the time of 30 years ago when he was hampered by Serb forces to enter Kosovo and years spent working to develop Kosovo as a powerful and democratic state.

While he has apologised that he cannot be present at the inauguration of his Kosovo bust, Dole has been grateful for the possibility of serving Kosovo over the years.

I'm sorry I can't be with all of you in Kosovo for the dedication of the bust, and as long as I appreciate that much, it reminds me of what happened 30 years ago. When Serbs tried to prevent us from coming to Kosovo. However, we spent 30 years working together to become a powerful and democratic state. While I hope you will continue to progress and become more and more powerful over the years. Finally, let me thank you for the opportunity to serve Kosovo over the past 30 years.
