Minister Sahin has provided further details on the way to implement instructions for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.
She initially stressed that the new school year guide has been consulted extensively with pre-university education groups, such as unions, the parents' council, school principals, groups of teachers and students.
She said that all have made their contribution to this being a document as comprehensive and applicable to the Pre-university Education in Albania and added that communication of application mode will be communicated to parents and students by teachers or school leaders themselves.
Minister Sahin has been asked many questions and has answered some of them. The question “is going to be able to teach online for those kids who want to attend school under house conditions.”, she has replied that even lectures in RTSH, which will be painted in parallel with lectures that will be done in school, as well as the unique platform that will be used for online instruction, will be available to all students, who for various reasons will not participate in the school teaching process. “We have students with chronic diseases.
They may have to stay home because of the threat of their health safety. In this case, these children will work mainly through online learning and attend lectures at RTSH, always keeping in touch with their teachers who can be appreciated and follow lessons along with their peers” minister Sahini said.
Meanwhile for the question that “who determines the main subjects”, Minister Sahin said the definition of key subjects occurs in the curriculum.
The subjects that have more classes a week are what we call major subjects, such as Albanian, mathematics, sciences.
The subjects that need more concentration from a student. She stressed that in schools where the number of students is smaller and social distance can be maintained, the entire learning plan will be implemented under school conditions. In schools that will be divided into groups and will work in shifts, we will focus more on major subjects, while other subjects will become combined with home learning. Physical education will take place on days when the weather allows it to develop abroad in the schoolyard. “Each school will have a floor manager provided for the management of the learning process, so that classroom entrances are regular and physically guarded” the minister adds.
Another question was “why isn't food allowed in class?” Sahin said food in the classroom will not be allowed because it poses a threat to the health of students and teachers. If food is consumed in class, it means that the mask should be removed and other students exposed and can touch the mouth with hands that may not be fully disinfected.
Asked whether the disinfectation will be done between shifts or every day, and whether it will be professional or simple disinfectant, Sahin said that the daily disinfectant is what we do at home, cleaning all the surfaces, corridors, toilets, so it's the disinfectant that happens regularly in school. But very carefully and with precautions that are suitable for fighting the virus.
Minister Sahin at the conclusion of the video-selfee publication, asked not to hesitate those with questions, and added that she would be in constant contact with all to answer their questions.
