Russian health officials have approved permission from the opposition activist's hospital, Alexei Navajo, who is in a coma at a Siberian hospital following allegations of poisoning.
He will now be sent to Germany for treatment.
Navajo family and friends have been fighting for his transfer to Germany for emergency treatment, but Russian doctors have refused this for hours, saying he is unable to travel.
Later Friday, however, the senior hospital official at Omsk, Anatoly Kalinichenko, has told the media that Navalny can now be transferred, since his condition has stabilised.
Transport from the Russian hospital is expected to take place within the day quoted as saying, Kalinichenko.
German doctors, who have arrived on an emergency plane to Russia, who are expected to send Navajo to the Charite Hospital in Berlin, have been allowed earlier in the day to control the Russian opposition figure.
We made a decision not to challenge his transfer to another hospital in what his family said to us”, Kalinichenko told reporters.
His wife, Yulia, has called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to enable the evacuation of her husband to Germany for treatment
