“Four persons have passed away as a result of floods in Turkey's northern Black Sea region, while over 11 persons reported missing”, Turkish Interior Minister Sulejman Soylu has declared.
Images from the northern province of Giresun show floods caused by heavy rainfall that flow through numerous buildings, where victims were found.
In a proposal for Turkish media, the minister has indicated that search-saving operations are working intensively on the findings of the missing.
One of the victims was a soldier. Roads to 118 villages have been closed. Five gendarmerie officers and an excavator operator disappeared after a 5m-high dam collapsed due to floods in the region.”, Soylu has indicated.
