QUINT ambassadors visit the Special Decani Zone

Ambassadors from France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America have come up with a joint statement regarding the situation created in the Decani region.

The same with EU representatives, KFOR and O The SEU, visiting the Decani region today for fact-finding, reports Klan Kosova.

Ambassadors as a result call for the Government of Kosovo to quickly resolve the issue of street work in line with 2008's laws on the Special Protection Areas.

The” they met separately with the chairman of the Ramosaj Union and Father Sava Janjic of the Decani Monastery.

We call on the parties to strictly adhere to the laws of Kosovo, in particular the 2008 law on specific protected zones, and address any remaining concerns within the framework of the Impulation Monitoring Council (KPM), before taking any action.

Moreover, we encourage Kosovo authorities to implement the Constitutional Court's decision of May 19, 2016, on the issue of land dispute in Decani.

In the end, we ask the Government of Kosovo to quickly resolve the issue of street affairs in line with the laws mentioned above”.
