Qalaj warns closure of premises that do not respect measures against COVID-19

During today's regional hospitals and QKUK clinics have been extended 599 patients. While the rigour of the measures has been cited, the director of the Kosovo Police has warned of closing the premises that are not complying with antiConvid-19 measures.

National Institute of Public Health Director Naser Ramadani said that in recent days the epidemiology situation is heavy because of the large number of cases.

Over the last 24 hours at the Public Health Institute's molecular microbiology lab with Real Time PCAR method have tested a total of 434 samples taken from all SKKUK clinics, regional hospitals and field surveillance cases, resulting in 224 positive cases. The total number of positive cases has reached 8554 cases of 36943 suspicious cases in the SarsCov2 virus, with a total of 237 cases of death that have had accompanying diseases. During the last 24 hours, 152 patients have been cured, while the total number of cures to date totals 2730 cured”, Ramadani said.

During reporting new cases in the last 24 hours, Ramadani has announced that the number of active cases with Covid-19 is 3588. He has asked citizens to apply the recommendations of health institutions.

The officer of the University Clinical Hospital Service duty, Valbon Krasniqi, said that only with the implementation of measures recommended by health institutions would the flow and pressure be reduced to increase new capacities, with beds and health personnel. On the contrary to these behaviours, Krasniqi said he is risking the health of citizens.

So, we have an extremely heavy situation even in the clinical context with a large influx of patients coming into serious forms of illness”, Krasniqi said.

Kosovo Police General Director Rashit Qalaj has warned of the closure of the premises that are violating anti-Condavi-19 measures.

He has called on police members that any economic operators that have repeatedly repeated actions that are not in line with safeguards, besides fines, should be closed.

And I consider that and I call on Kosovo police from now on not to allow Kosovo citizens who do not respect government decisions, safeguard clauses and sanction all. Also, together with the Sanitary inspectors to add inspections to economic operators, locals, margins and buses”, he stressed.

In the last 24 hours, the municipality of Pristina leads 70 cases, the municipality of Ferizaj and Prizren on 20 occasions, the municipality of Fushe-Kosovo 16 cases, the 13 cases soranku, Vushtrria with 10, Mitrovica 9, Gjilani 8, municipality of Lipjan and Podujevo with 7 cases, the municipality of Drenas and Scitores six cases, the municipality of Dragas, Malisheva, Suharca, the municipality of Pec with 4, Clinea and the Year with the three cases, Gja, Gjakova, Kamica, in two cases by Oqi, and one instance.
