The association of private pre-school institutions warns bankruptcy of these businesses if they continue to remain closed.
Although they announced that today they would open the doors to children, pre-school institutions in the capital continue to be closed until the drafting of a protocol that would ensure detailed management of the situation after nesting. So Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti announced last night.
But they're not agreeing to private nest owners.
Joys Rexhepi-Chollaku from the Association of Private Pre-Scholias says the huge losses brought upon you by the pandemic will make many private shelters go bankrupt.
According to her, this business community was not helped by anyone despite great needs.
This loss is hard to calculate when many of the nests have even begun their bankruptcy and some of them will not be opened at all, this second blow was not to rise again. Knowing the cost of a public nursery and a nursery with public-private partnerships, and a community-based nursery we are a huge contribution to the state. But, never and no way have we been contacted and helped with any form, fear is never to open up again... The possibility of bankruptcy is too big, except that it's bad for us is also bad for parents, but it's also bad for children”, she says.
Speaking about the Pristina municipality's decision, Rexhepi-Colaku says private pre-school institutions are in the competence of the Ministry of Education rather than the municipality.
According to her, so far they don't have any information about when they can open their businesses.
Because today we have written email to the municipality, directly to the mayor's office even over the phone, I've heard from Miranda Mullafazliu (the Pristina municipality's spokeswoman)... Until this time we have no information... We've always been in the competence of the Ministry of Education until we're licensed by August and never and in no way have we been in the jurisdiction of the municipality, we have no idea and in what way and where we're put into the city's competence, we don't even know why and what's going to happen, she said.
Pre-school institutions have not even opened today in the Fusha-Kosovo municipality.
And in this municipality, they say the only public pre-school institution this municipality has will not open by September 1st, while private ones say they are not competent.
So has Kosovo Mayor Fushesh-Kosovo spokesman Ali Topalli, who said up to this decision has come even because of the increased number of cases with Covid-19.
“Under normal circumstances from August 1st, even this nursery has had to be on well-deserved summer vacation, however the workers of this garden center have continued to work and be in permanent contact with the Municipal Education Directorate, the parents, and as a result of the government's decision to open gardens has been reached a common agreement and consensus that this garden will not open at least before September 1st... As an institution and as a municipality, we are not competent for private nesting institutions because they are the competence of the ministry and institutions that have licensed them and it's not in our authority, but it's that it's their direct issue and they act on the basis of their internal regulation”, he says.
And many private nests operating in the Fushe-Kosovo municipality through reports on the social Facebook network say they are awaiting the Fusha-Kosovo municipality.
