PDK MP: Thaci can run for president again

PDK MP Ariana Musliu-Shoshi has spoken on presidential issues and whether a new president of this party has been spoken of in the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Musliu-Scheshi indicated that attitude The PDK is that this issue will be discussed only when it is time for this, in February or eventually in March of next year.

The MP said that the president cannot exercise the task only when he has sentences, not when he is brought to an act against him, according to her, President Thaci can run again.

“We are the pre-presidential and non-presidential republic to declare candidacy, if we look at the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 91 says that the president cannot exercise his duty only when there is condemnation even if an indictment arose he could still exercise the post”, Musliu Shoshi said.

“The president can exercise office even if he has an indictment established, he can run again, I'm not speaking on behalf of the party, but my personal position is that he can run even for a mandate, she said.

MP further said the president's topic has never been discussed at PDK meetings.

“I can assure you that none of the PDK meetings has ever opened the topic of President”, Musliu Shoshi said.
